Updated FLs, Resubmitted ticket to Holdfire

I updated all my fanlistings today, and had my first spam member request. Does this warrant celebration or something?

I don’t know.

Anyway, about the Enthusiast errors on my fanlistings, my ticket to Holdfire was put on the back burner and somehow got overlooked. I replied to the same ticket, so maybe this can get resolved soon. I’d really love to be able to have things work properly. I hope it wouldn’t be an error on my end, because I’ve gone through CodeGrrl and looked over the PEAR documentation I could find and it really seems to me that the PHP sendmail and PEAR Net_SMTP services are disabled on my server.

Holdfire seems to be pretty helpful, though, so we’ll see.

Just an idea, but it’s kind of important

I have such a potty mouth that I’ve begun (on my LJ) tagging posts where I managed to edit out the swearing (usually much to my disdain-it’s against my writing style, I write like I speak). LOL, I imagine I’ll even be using the “curse-free” tag on my blogs whenever I manage to get them back up and running.

It’s not much, but…

I’ve been trying to clear up the mail problems I’ve been having.

First off, my domain’s catch-all email address has been stuffed with megabytes of SPAM for over a year and a half now, so I’m sitting here, slowly deleting them, 999 at a time, every five minutes or so, so as to not overload the server. So far I’ve gotten down from about 109,000 to about 70,000 of them.

Second, my mail notifications from a full-fledged email account that I can check have never worked with Enthusiast on my FLs. Also, I’ve never been able to use POP/SMTP properly with the same account. So, I submitted a support ticket to Holdfire.

It’s not much, but I’m alive, and still thinking about this, and doing a little something about it. That’s better than nothing, right?

TL;DR

I’ve always been here

So, I have some plans. I’m playing around with a layout, I havent gotten any of the accessibility/proper construction stuff down, but I’m back to doing something, after a June and July full of no work. (Haha, sorry, Civs 4, poupee girl, and eRepublik took up those two months of my life – omg an actual hiatus!!.)

I’ve been keeping my fls up to date, of course, but plan to make a layout for misstuned, make a cookie cutter for rainandsky, and get whichever of those two I feel like up and running before I go making layouts for hakuu and my fls.

I think I’ll try to work on this at least once a week in august, but I’m kinda busy spacking/sanding/painting(eventually) my room and rearranging the furniture (I know – lamest excuse or WHAT?), so I’m not on the computer that often.
